HOSTED BY PROM COAST U3A
An information afternoon on Friday November 6th will be hosted by Prom Coast U3A to introduce Maree Bayley an Advocate from Elder Rights Australia. The event will cover – navigating the Aged Care System, how to access aged care services at home, aged care rights and the value of advocacy.
It will be an informal occasion with many opportunities to talk with Maree and the chance to seek advice in a safe setting. Prom Coast U3A will provide afternoon tea with time to mingle with people who have similar questions and perhaps experiences to share.
For more than 30 years, Elder Rights Australia (ERA) has helped older people, their families and representatives in Victoria, with issues related to aged care services. The service is free, confidential, and independent of aged care providers and the government. Older people have a right to be respected, to express their opinions, and to be heard. An advocate from ERA will listen to you and advocate for safe, quality care to meet your needs.
Join us on Friday, November 6th at 2.00pm at the Prom Coast U3A Learning Centre at the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre, 79 Main Street, Foster. For information on the event call Jan on 0407 807 768. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
